I use it in sauces and in flame cake with win few spices as a basis on the dough.

Baking or cooking. If you want a cream texture without the food becoming too sweet (at least at some cakes)

To make sauces, generally for cooking, more rare for baking, except naturally for broccolipizza and flame cake.
