How long do I need to study for TMS?

Are three days enough? Unfortunately, due to the stress of my final exams, I can't do anything else. I've already paid. Would you still take the test or not? If not, then the 100 euros are gone. If so, then I have to realize that I can only take the test once in my life.

I wanted to hear your opinion on this 🙂 Any experiences?

Thanks!

There are also other possibilities depending on your interests!

In Germany, there is now the possibility to study human medicine through the so-called Landarztquote > NC.

After successful, completed studies > Pre-clinic, clinical semester, PJ and receipt of the approval you are a doctor, but not a specialist. In this case, the training follows the FA for general medicine or internal medicine. You must, however, commit yourself to being a resident for 10 years.

Alternatively, a study in Austria would be possible. In Austria, the study of human medicine NC is free, but the medAT is mandatory.

Three days are too little. If you want a really good result, you need to practice a lot. I have prepared for about 5 months (and it has paid off: 98%).

Better write him later and prepare for it intensively.

I generally advise to write the TMS in the Abi period, it is easy to learn at the same time on the Abi and on the TMS. In particular, since both results are so important for the application to a medical study site. Therefore, one should not take a risk of putting one of both (or both, before no stress) in the sand.

I think it makes sense to make an FSJ or internship in the medical field after the Abitur (preferably in nursing, so that you can get it as a nursing internship for medical studies) and then prepare for the TMS.

P.S. I thought you could write the TMS two times in life? 🤔

https://www.tms-info.org/faq/ I’ve been researching, you can actually write the TMS a second time. Thank God. When I wrote it, there was the 1-mal-im-life rule and that was a psychoterror…

So my knowledge is that you can write the TMS twice in life – but I’m not 100% sure if that’s true. And yes, even with an aby of 1.3 or 1.4, you will need the TMS, depending on where you want to study. I know people who have still got a place of study in Frankfurt and Homburg with an aby of 1.3 without TMS – but that was a few years ago when the place of study was still different. The TMS is indispensable if you don’t have a top-of-the-range, and in the very popular universities such as Heidelberg, it can even be that you need a solid TMS result in a 1.0-Abi.
