It is all a question of the driver that is used and the chipset that is in the dongle or in the radio mouse) .

A lot is still designed for USB 2.0 and NOT for 3.0. USB 3.0 uses a down-compatible protocol to 2.0 and even up to 1.0. Not every USB chip can also start with a certain downward compatibility. Most drivers are the same, but there are still various inconsistencies here, as each manufacturer of these USB chips cooks his own snack. If it works better on USB 2.0, just leave it.

3.0 does not bring a nutritional value in a mouse or even in a keyboard. The bandwidth of USB 2.0 is 100% also a 3000 DPI mouse.

Even today, I use classical cable ties with the constant charging of the battery in the radio mouse absolutely annoys. My keyboard is also classically connected via USB cable. Have a PS/2 keyboard but don’t use the connection on my MoBo.

Is the same as with the mouse, it is the problem with USB chips that should work with each other. The problem has been present for more than 20 years (known since the USB).

Not every USB chip is 100% compatible with other USB chips .
