Fujifilm X10 or Fujifilm X100?

I've recently wanted to get into photography a bit and am looking for a camera that is perfect for beginners and isn't a high-end camera.

I realized relatively quickly that Fujifilm was the brand for me and found two different cameras that I liked.

The Fujifilm X10 and the Fujifilm X100.

Both are cameras that are over 10 years old, but are relatively well suited for beginners.

However, I now wonder which of the two is better.

There is a lot of information and reviews about the Fuji X10 on YouTube, but less about the X100.

Which of the two cameras do you think is better and would you recommend it?

Thank you for your answers!

I noticed the Fujifilm is the brand for me relatively quickly and I also found 2 different cameras that told me.

Have you ever kept the cameras in your hands, tested handling and autofocus and compared them to others? Should you do before you buy anything just because of Tiktok hype of film simulation and Reeetrooo.

Most likely I would take the

Example due?

Used Canon EOS M50 | MPB 450€

Used Canon EF-M 22mm f/2 STM | MPB 175€

Delivers exactly the same 35mm f/2 full format equivalents as the Fuji, but with 24 megapixels and ordinary autofocus.

None of them. But not because I feel them somehow bad, but because photography is an extremely wide area. Where a camera without a pivotable display is a no-go for me.

If you want to do animal photography and train dogs or birds in full action, you probably need a telephoto lens. If you only photograph landscapes, you can reach a wide angle and finish.

perfect for beginners

Is the camera that you choose according to your requirements and your financial possibilities and that you like from the operation and handling and not because anyone on YouTube secrets anything. Sorry for the hard words, but the real quality of a photo has nothing to do with the technique.

Don't forget that today's typical use of a smartphone has nothing to do with a camera. If the image is in the box, then the rework is done on the PC, which a phone otherwise takes place immediately.

So my questions:

  • What have you got? Because even a smartphone can initially help to learn the exposure triangle and image composition
  • what do you want to photograph today? (If the appetite should come when eating, a system camera would be better (no matter if with or without a mirror)

Open, if you have a smartphone, that's enough. The current price range of 300 ++ Euros is also "better" than the X-100 from 2011. The 10 is not younger either.

yes, today we're shocking. Clearly say something we would like to post in photo forums and photo groups every day. What we always think when we see how beginners are completely overwhelmed with the selection if you compare data and diagrams of camera tests and do not get through with all the names, tips and recommendations.

You know what? Your camera doesn't matter. Yes, we'll say it again: It is absolutely irrelevant which camera you have or which camera you buy. Stop worrying about it.

As a beginner you play on every piano. And as a master on every grandiose.

and further

By the way, you can also take gigantic photos with your smartphone. Check out the book “Photo Art with iPhone”. Wow!

Try out with the means you already have and if you have licked blood then you can make a lot more sure to decide if and which camera you want to buy.

I wouldn't get that old one anymore. Better on X-T20. A lot of camera for little money and not that old.

Think about the lenses. They cost a little more. Just as long focal lengths you don't get thrown for a few hundred euros as with Canon z. B. It's the question you're asking.

Otherwise, log in to the Fuji Forum.
