I failed my driving license eye test and opticians aren't giving me appointments so quickly?
I signed up for a driving school four weeks ago and had an appointment with an optician last week for my annual checkup. However, I couldn't go last week because I had COVID-19, and now I can't get an appointment until April 2023. Today I had an eye test for a first aid course. However, I only have four weeks left to send my certificates to the authorities. Other ophthalmologists aren't available either because I'm not yet 18. I wear glasses and have never had any problems, and it was only through the driver's license eye test that I found out my eyesight isn't as good as it seems, despite wearing them. What can I do?

I honestly couldn’t imagine you’ll get an appointment to the driver’s license test in April 2023. If this optician doesn’t work, just go to another one. With chains like Fielmann, Apollo, Binder and how they all are called, it shouldn’t be so difficult to get an appointment soon.
I was with Apollo and Fielmann today and they said they can only do a vision test when I was 18.
Of course, they could, they don’t want to, because they are too comfortable to fill out a so-called authorization certificate, which they could then also obtain the cash register share from the health insurance company. It’s time that doesn’t take anything. The optician makes this refraction much better anyway than the ophthalmologist, which usually costs nothing when buying glasses.
Right, there was something, the same problem my son had. But I’m sure you’ll get an appointment with an ophthalmologist before April?

This is not true, there is no optician in Germany who has only 7 months of time for a driving licence test for you. 10 minutes.
What can you do?
Go to an optics shop where you get glasses in 3-4 days or faster, that doesn’t create a Filialist, make the vision test right when picking up the new glasses and best it.
