I once measured the corresponding train from Cologne to Paris in Google Maps and came to about 536 km.

The trains need about 3.5 h to 4.5 h (mainly also influenced by holding times/shift times). Then I’ll get to a dozen speeds of about…

If you calculate the holding times/return times out, you get to on average about 164 km/h. [With ICE12 and Eurostar, the route is about 3 h + 24 min, of which only about 8 min stay in Brussels.]

And if you look at the permitted maximum speeds on the corresponding sections of the route, you will find that on the majority of the route 300 km/h must drive. [These are the red line sections in the following image.] And such speeds are also achieved by the trains. [The Eurostar drives up to 300 km/h in regular operation. He even managed 334.7 km/h on trial trips. The ICE12 is a ICE 3neo (series 408) and is approved for a speed of up to 320 km/h. )

not only the TGV, there are also ICE trains equipped with French technology and can drive there. These are then driven from German staff to Paris.
