You can take an ICE train, which takes 1:15-1:30, depending on which one you take. You can easily book this via the DB Navigator or the DB online information service.

The ticket costs 20-35€, depending on when you travel and how far in advance you book.

PS If the train is medium full and you are traveling alone, you can save yourself the trouble of reserving a seat.

You can either take the ICE, which takes about an hour and a half. Book a single ticket via Bahn.de or purchase it at the ticket counter.

Or take the regional express train, which takes about three hours and requires one transfer. To do this, book a Deutschlandticket at Deutschlandticket.de, which is valid for one month on all local public transport in Germany, and show it in the app. A single ticket isn't worth it here.

Uh, a regular ticket for Deutsche Bahn or AO, but maybe check the Deutschlandticket to see if it's cheaper than using separate return tickets. (And maybe take the tram or something like that there too.)

Berlin Elsterwerda Döbeln Leipzig is just one of many possibilities.

You can travel by ICE. You'll have to check the price for the connection.

http://www.bahn.de or its app (DB Navigator)

http://www.busliniensuche.de

If you have a D-Ticket or Quer-durch's-Land-Ticket (which, IIRC, is only valid for local rail travel; read the terms and conditions at https://www.bahn.de/angebot/regio/laender_tickets ), activate the "local transport only" filter on Bahn.de and take one of the connections shown within the ticket's validity period. However, it might take longer than with the ICE.

You can either buy your ticket online or on-site. I advise against traveling by bus. Believe me, the money saved isn't worth this negative experience.
