Fritzbox as a repeater?

Hello, can I set up my old Fritzbox as a repeater and then connect it via LAN cable to my gaming PC, which will arrive in a few days? So, I put the old box in the mesh of the current/new one and then I can simply connect it via LAN cable, right?

Yeah, I should go.

I can’t tell you 100% sure that’s what I can do, but I’ve done this before.

The Fritz!Repeaters are also in any case.

Yes, it works with almost all FritzBoxes.

Of course, I would like to

  • Mesh Repeater

the operating mode

  • Standard WLAN repeater

prefer.

So the 2nd FritzBox becomes a mesh repeater:

Only these FritzBoxes can be Mesh Repeater:

https://avm.de/service/mesh/faqs/fritzbox-als-mesh-repeater-installation/dok2/3361_Welche-FRITZ-Product-unterstuetzen-Mesh/

Otherwise as standard WLAN repeater (IP client):

as @IDirk (in his link) recommends.

Good luck looking!

Works perfectly, here with a 7590ax and a 7490 as mesh repeater.

Go.

Whether it is particularly performant, stands on another sheet.
