I'm often told that I have a beautiful speaking voice, and now I'm wondering if that would give me an advantage when singing, and if I can learn to sing? I want to learn an instrument (saz = something like a Turkish guitar), and it would be good if I could sing a little.

Unfortunately, friends / family are not a benchmark. As you seem to have Turkish roots (Saz), it is not possible for us North Europeans to judge this with you. Singing the Turkish/ Oriental style is fundamentally different from the Belcanto style in Northern Europe. Just go to a Turkish singer and sing something to him. He can judge.
The voice of speech often differs from the voice of his voice, but you can naturally teach it anyway and how it is at the end of the listen you cannot always foresee, so I would just try it out.
With a few singing hours or tutorials on YouTube you can already work on your voice.
