Freewheel for racing bike?
Are there specific sizes for freewheels or are they all one size fits all and can you recommend a good one that is a bit louder, as I currently have one that you can't hear at all.
Hey, I'd like to do a 2-hour bike ride tomorrow, around 8-11 a.m., but it's going to be 37 degrees, and I left my hat at my girlfriend's. Can I still ride my bike without being afraid, since it's relatively early, or how can I protect my head/neck?
Hello everyone, My front tire with the disc was stolen recently, but the brake is still attached. I need a new front wheel now, and I can't seem to find anything online. This is the rim and the tire, although the tire can be different, but I would like to have the same size/same profile….
Hello, My DT Swiss hub with pawls has been making strange scratching noises from the inside for some time. I reassembled it, cleaned it, and re-greased it, but the scratching was still there. There's no visible damage, and the pawls work perfectly. What could be causing these scratching noises?
I wanted to adjust my Shimano Ultegra R8000 gear system on my road bike. Unfortunately, it no longer works at all. My plan was to adjust the high and low limit screws on the cassette and adjust the cable tension. First, I loosened the Bowden cable, then adjusted the limit screws so that the cassette,…
Firstly, apart from the difference Campagnolo – Shimano/SRAM, there are different sizes for different gears.
And secondly, not every freewheel fits every hub. Every manufacturer cooks his own snack. For example, Mavic and ZIPP are quite easy to trade, Shimano makes this much more complicated.
The freewheel must fit the hub. You can’t just put some other freewheel on your hub.
If your hub is quiet with the right freewheel from scratch, you can hardly change anything without changing the hub. (exceptions confirm the rule… what kind of hub do you have?).
Got this: (R) Formula RXC-400, 12x142mm centerlock
Okay, after a short search, the freewheel mechanism is not interchangeable, so you can’t change the volume.
At DT Swiss, this would have been an option.
Okay, thanks for the help.
Someone who understands the wheel construction can actually add any combination of rim and hub with corresponding spokes. But it should be clear to you that this is an hour-long manual work and is not made for €50 accordingly.
Thank you. Fit new hubs More like every race wheel or are there great differences again?
