Questions about car transport?
Hello everyone, I have several questions about car transport.
1. If I have a class B driving license, can I tow a trailer with a car on it if the combination is under 3.5 tons?
2. I haven't found anything by searching for ads either. Is there a car trailer that I can load a 1100kg car that's 4m long, and how much would it weigh? What would the payload be?
3. What would be the empty weight of such a trailer?
4. What would change by obtaining a BE driving license?
5. Is the BE license sufficient to tow over 3.5 tons?
Class B:
Vehicles with an admissible total mass of not more than 3 500 kg, […] (including trailers with an admissible total mass of not more than 750 kg or with trailers exceeding 750 kg permissible total mass, provided that 3 500 kg permissible total mass of the combination is not exceeded).
Class BE:
Vehicle combinations consisting of a class B towing vehicle and a trailer or semi-trailer, provided that the total permissible mass of the trailer or semi-trailer does not exceed 3 500 kg.
Class B with key number 96:
Combinations of vehicles of category B and a trailer with a permissible total mass exceeding 750 kg, provided that the permissible total mass of such a combination is more than 3 500 kg but not more than 4 250 kg.
1. Yes, if you refer to the permissible total mass and not to the actual weight.
Two. 3. I don’t know
4. BE: With this you could drag a hanger up to 3500kg zgm. So maximum tension would be 7000kg zgm. If you have the right towing vehicle, the transport of a 1100kg car is not a problem.
1. Yes
2/3. Yes such car trailers there is how much this weighs is different.
4.With the BE driving licence you can drive trailers up to 3.5T.
Five. Yes with the BE you can attach 3.5T in addition to the towing vehicle.
