Fragen zu Heimwerkerprojekt?
Ich würde gern eine Kiste bauen, die ich mit Yucca-Palmen bepflanzen will. Das Bild zeigt die geplanten Maße. Ich habe so etwas noch nie gemacht und habe deshalb ein paar Fragen.
- Die Kiste soll auf Rollen stehen, wieviele benötige ich und wie stark müssen sie sein?
- Welches Material verwende ich am besten für die Platten? Ich habe nach OSB-Platten geguckt, aber da kostet eine mit den Maßen 1m * 60 cm schon um die 60,00€ und ich bräuchte fünf. Gibt es da eine kostengünstigere Alternative?
- Da die Kiste mit 80 cm Erde und 20 cm Blähton befüllt wird, kommt vermutlich ein hohes Gewicht zusammen. Sie muss aber transportierbar sein für den Fall eines Umzugs. Dafür sollen an die kurzen Seiten Griffe montiert werden, damit man die Kiste nicht nur schieben, sondern auch anheben und tragen kann. Wie verstärke ich die Konstruktion so, dass sie beim Hochheben nicht auseinanderbricht oder der Boden herausbricht?

However, I wouldn’t build it from OSB, because it will inevitably get wet and OSB is quite porous and contains a lot of glue and is sensitive to sources and disappearance. It can be protected by a paint, of course, but who knows how well this works in the long term.
Therefore I would take boards, and the cheapest boards are scarves for concrete formwork.

You don’t have to strengthen a glued box of such planks, so you can put a car on it.
Ideally, insert and braid the bottom with folds, then perhaps glue at the short sides transverse strips underneath, which overlap the bottom and the side walls. Then there’s no way out. Four reels are enough.

As for the OB, the price comes from the first Google hit for “OSB panels to measure”.
These are really moderate prices and I think the boards would be really good. However, I didn’t want to hide them at all, but to screw them with metal angles at the corners. Inside, I wanted to apply and hide foil so that no moisture penetrates into the wood. I also think that a paint would not last long.

After assembly, you need to paint the wood with Xyladecor wood protection. If everything is dried, you can paint it with a clear lacquer, best to paint a boat varnish. Exterior with a fast grinding ground. After the drying fine grinding and then you can brush in whatever color.
However, it would also be possible to knock the box inside with a strong foil. Only do not fasten with a taffeta but attach with a strong double-sided adhesive tape.
By the way, in the inside, I’d glue a four-pot wood for reinforcement.
