Question for anyone who has ever worked part-time 20 hours a week in retail while studying or doing something similar?
Was the pay good, and was it worth it? I've heard a lot of bad things about working in retail, but on the other hand, it's a good opportunity to earn money.
You get jobs in retail quite simply, even without training. This is why they are also quite frequent secondary jobs for students.
But because one does not necessarily need training there and therefore many people are potentially eligible for it as employees, these jobs are not paid so well – minimum wage and perhaps a little bit about it, I think Lidl is quite far ahead with 14 euros.
It is also often the case that employees are not necessarily well-treated and so many superiors do not necessarily consider the laws valid for themselves. For example, if it is required that the cash billing or the clearing up after business closure are not listed as working time.
But do you have alternatives? If so, what?
At the moment I’m not able to accept one, but in 1 to 2 years I’m trying why I’m wondering what could come into question I live in a big city so other options could also exist of which I might not have experienced if there was something that would be known to you?
Well, what exactly are you looking for and what exactly do you bring?
This is actually what I think I think I think the gastronomy even better it brings me believe more advantages
You will have to get used to the idea that you will not find a high payment, or somehow very optimal conditions in jobs, as long as you are not a sought-after and experienced specialist. This is how the labour market is. And you just have to do that if you want to make some money before reaching such a conclusion.
I’ve already thought about gastronomy, but I’m still wondering how much better this is?
They won’t hurt you. What you need is a professional qualification. Otherwise, it’s up to jobs you can do without such a thing. And they are all not absolutely great in their own way. In addition to retail, catering would be a classic.
At the moment I have a certificate as a student mentor but would be more than open to getting more certificates through summer boot camps in IT or pedagogy
Don’t you want to get the study out quickly? Bafög and spend less time earning money?
This is what I only know from fellow students who have already worked a lot for the Master in the Diploma, so that they were able to make almost half the Master’s degree and work in the other half of the time.
In the lecture-free period one often has exams, block courses, etc., so don’t guess how much time you have to work in the year.

In fact, in my case, it would not be studies, but professional gymnasium where I want to go is rather far away, which is why I would like to plant myself in a WG in time
As a student of a full-time school, IMHO is likely to be difficult with 20h/week despite holidays.

That’s why I’m trying to communicate with a student who is currently in my (hopefully) future gymnasium, and I’m just starting a part-time job in the second half of the first year btw in the second year.
In the first year there I had massive problems with math despite 1 in the middle maturity…

I know that I would be willing to try it can’t hurt
