Ein Pendel genau über der Erdachse, an den Polen, würde sich in 24 Stunden um 360° drehen, weil sich die PendelAchse NICHT mit der Erde mitdreht!
An anderen Stellen auf der Erde ist der Effekt nicht ganz so groß, aber trotzdem meist vorhanden, abhängig vom Breitengrad.
Nur am Äquator würde man keinen Effekt beobachten.

Das Pendel bewegt sich stabil auf seiner Bahn, während die Erde sich darunter dreht. Funktioniert nur, weil das Pendel fast ohne Kontakt zur drehenden Erde aufgehängt ist, so dass die minimale Berührung sich deutlich geringer auswirkt als die Bewegung des Pendels.
