Fortnite stutters always the same and for the same length of time?
Hello, today I played Fortnite and I immediately noticed that there are always 3-4 seconds of stuttering where the game drops to 38 fps. I don't know what I can do about it. It wasn't like this before… Maybe someone has tips. In any case, it's now happening out of nowhere.
Installed: GTX 1660 Ti
Intel Xeon e5 2650 v4 12 cores 24 threads
And I know I have a pretty big bottle leak, maybe that's the reason, could I do something about it?
Thanks in advance
The CPU and the GraKa support both PCIe 3.0, so no bottleneck should be present. Unfortunately, the mainboard and the installed BIOS version is not specified, but maybe it already helps if the system with the Intel® Driver and Support Assistant updated.
With HWinfo you can read the technical data of the computer:
https://www.heise.de/download/product/hwinfo-36684
Please post the system summary that appears at the beginning, sensor status or other windows do not help.
If then a screenshot is made with ALT + DRUCK, the question is edited, the image is inserted with STRG + V and with some text, you can say more.
Will I make today or tomorrow Thanks
It’s clear your CPU. I’m sorry, but it has to be replaced. The Xeon is actually a server processor and only supports multitasking with low power consumption, so it is not designed for overclocking and you can’t configure anything else in the BIOS.
2.9gHz is an overly low Boost clock. :/
for Fortnite at least one clock of 3.3gHz. It is equal to whether it is a quad or octacore CPU, depending on the budget and purpose of use. 😉
Epicgames recommends a 7th generation i5. https://www.epicgames.com/help/de/c-Category_Fortnite/c-Fortnite_TechnicalSupport/welche-system requirements-hat-fortnite-fur-pc-und-mac-a000084912?sessionInvalidated=true
I also think that the current season really eats more performance. I also have critical FPS drops on the spawnisland and in the Battlebus, with an RTX4060Ti, i7-13700KF and 32GB RAM… XD
In plain language: you should upgrade your processor.
I hope I could at least help a little more.
