Fortnite FPS in DirectX?

Hello, Fortnite runs on my PC in DirectX 12 at just about 50 FPS. My PC isn't bad at all. Unfortunately, I can't give you exact details about the components installed, as I'm not familiar with them. However, it doesn't have a graphics card. Do you think that could be the problem? And if so, which graphics card would be good? Like, for around 120 FPS? By the way, my PC has 32 GB of RAM, so that can't be the problem…

Yeah, that might be good because your PC doesn’t have a graphics card. Fortnite needs a graphics card to render the game graphics, and even if your processor has integrated graphics, these are usually not powerful enough for more demanding games in higher settings.

For 120 FPS in Fortnite (depending on setting), you would probably need a mid-range graphics card. Here are some recommendations:

  • NVIDIA GTX 1660 Super
  • NVIDIA RTX 3060
  • AMD Radeon RX 5600

Remember that compatibility with your PC and power supply must also be given!

Yes, Fortnite is running slowly without a graphics card. For 120 FPS, GTX 1660 Super, RX 6600 or RTX 3060 Good. These cards ensure liquid playing at medium to high settings. Make sure your power supply and housing support the new card.

Try DX11. Open the task manager with Ctrl + Shift (the small key to the big letter) and Esc. Then you have to click on “Performance” that says your CPU.

If DX11 does not help, try the performance mode.

If that doesn’t help, you need a graphics card.
