Format Sony VAIO?

Hello everyone,

I want to format my old Sony VAIO so I can dispose of it. However, formatting is proving very difficult because the device no longer has any functioning USB ports, and Internet Explorer no longer works either.
This means I can't install any data deletion software, and I can't boot anything via the USB ports. Unfortunately, I don't know how else I can format or damage the laptop so I can dispose of it safely.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Sony Vaios usually have a maintenance flap under which the hard disk is. Turn a two screws out, turn a plate out, hit four times with a fist and the thing’s broken. It takes a few minutes. The other stuff with hard drive will cost too much time.

Which Viao model is it? Then you can show the maintenance flap.

Extend data carriers and then connect externally to another PC/Notebook
