Forgotten iPad passcode: No solution?
Hello,
I recently found my mother's old iPad, and as you might expect, it has an unknown code. Since she hasn't used Apple for a few years, we don't have her Apple ID or the iPad receipt. I've already tried all the birth dates and NPC codes (1234, 0000, 1111, etc.).
The code is six digits long, and not even my mother knows it. It would be a shame to just buy a new one or throw this one away, but everything seems hopeless to me, as I've spent a long time researching solutions. iTunes isn't a solution either, since I'm not allowed to download anything onto my mother's laptop.
I would really appreciate an answer, as I need the iPad for school. (I work and study much more productively with technology.)
Thanks to everyone who offers a helpful solution.
Your Mona
Because probably an older iPadOS version than 15.2 (published on 13. December 2021) is installed, it is impossible to reset it without computer. Possibly, but not sure that it will be reset to you when you bring it to the Apple Store, but that actually also makes every small cell phone reperature store.
But keep in mind that if the iPad is still logged in to your mother’s Apple ID, resetting the activation beer will activate it. If you have the password for their Apple ID the iPad will not be set up again.
If iPadOS 15.2 or later should be installed, enter the code as often wrong until the iPad the second time for 15 minutes.
It is first locked for a minute, then for five minutes and then for the first time for 15 minutes.
You should then get below on the ‘iPad disabled’ screen next to ’emergence’ also ‘forgot code’.
The iPad can also be reset if it is connected to the Internet and your mother enters their Apple ID password.
A helpful solution can only offer the Apple support.
I also tried to write to it, but it led me back to iTunes.
go to Apple STore with the Ipad and the bill. They can help you.
