Focus keyphrase Yoast SEO – example?

I'm still relatively new to SEO, even though I've been doing web development and using WordPress for a long time, and the most well-known is probably Yoast SEO (or Rank Math). I had Yoast installed and used ChatGPT to create readable titles everywhere, for example, my homepage – Fitness Studio Company XY | Fitness in Dortmund, Essen & Hamburg
For focus keywords I have [Company XY Fitness Dortmund Essen Hamburg Strength Training Cardio Circuit Training Bodybuilding Group Training Personal Training Sauna [well-known owner]] without a comma.
(As a simple example, it's not about fitness).
I think I misunderstood the focus keyword and that you can only have one focus keyword like [Personal Training]?
And you should go for an advantage over the competition with the keyword how personal training is the focus and nothing else or nothing other than recreational sports (at least in the free plan I think).
The thing is, this company, for example, is simply "just" better (it's not my company, so I'm telling the truth) than the others.

It's clear that all fitness studios offer the same thing, have similar prices, and are probably all good. But if this company is generally better and doesn't reinvent the wheel or advertise with some nonsense, what do you do? Simply use “Premium” or “High Quality”? The competition already does that, even though it's not the case based on the quality of their website.
Are there groups where you can let other people take a look and ask for their opinion?
I know English-speaking forums, but they're of no use to me if they don't speak the language, and I don't want to outsource; I want to better understand and learn SEO as a web developer. I already know the technical side, like performance and loading times, and I've paid attention to user-friendliness. However, Yoast SEO and WordPress are a bit different than working with React/Next.js.

Hi,

yes, in principle you set single focus keyword per page that describes the main intention of the page – eg in a “personal training” page the keyword “personal training” would be. Yoast helps you incorporate this main keyword into the text so that the page is clearly oriented. Your example with many keywords ([Company XY Fitness Dortmund Essen Hamburg…]) is too broad because it is hard for Google to recognize the main focus.

If the company scores qualitatively, then it could be an approach to choosing keywords that indicate this added value. Instead of “premium” or “high-quality” (which is often too general), you might consider describing the offer more precisely. For example, by terms such as “personally supervised training” or “experienced coach team”. Also specific benefits such as “exclusive circulatory area” or “individual strength training” help to authenticate the quality of the offer and to stand out from the competition.

Yoast in WordPress is by the way a good start, as there are many useful hints about keyword placement and page structure. However, if you want to get deeper into SEO, it is worth trying out more tools, such as Ahrefs or SEMrush, to analyze keywords more detailed and track traffic.

However, it may be possible to achieve other or better results via a different content management system. Many CMS solutions offer from home from own SEO tools or Setting options so that plugins like Yoast are obsolete, but this is your decision.

and there is the most famous probably Yoast SEO

If all use the same tool for “optimizing” it is useless for SEO. Do you want to light up?

SEO is not done with SEO tools. For SEO, you write texts and information that other pages in this form and quality do not offer any other pages.

And you get backlinks. Everything else is optional.

But is the easiest way to miss the pages Meta Descriptions

Meta Descriptions to use is in most cases counterproductive for the click rate.

It warns a longer text than 156 characters

What for? What do you think bad happens when you write 200 characters?

The competitor has strong traffic and reviews on Google

And with that a high trust rank, you'll only reach in a few years.
