I had nothing to show. I was only asked about the exact amount on my account. I said that and it was good. Otherwise there were also questions where I wanted to work. It depends on the person. Officials of the CBC and also those arriving.

I have an ESTA. It will only be noticeable if you cannot answer the questions.

What you need to show depends very heavily on the Officer at the Point of Entry.

He looks at you, asks a few questions and decides what to show.

In general, you do not show anything except the passport, it is enough convincing to answer.

If you want to travel to the USA with ESTA or a tourist visa, the booking confirmation of the airline is usually sufficient for the return flight so that the CBP officer knows that you want to leave the USA again.

The question with the money is only raised when you discuss the financing of your trip, the planned accommodation, planned ventures and your professional activity in contradictions.

If you have a credit card, it’s not a problem for your colleague. It is enough to simply show them.

I always plan to travel to my USA $1,000 a week (plus hotel), which is just over 140 dollars a day. However, I never have problems with entry, as I also own a US pass.

  • answer questions of the official in a short, concise and truthful manner,
  • do not work in reproach,
  • do not start small talk,
  • no sentences like “I could imagine living here” say

Didn’t have to show anything…

At that time, as a solo traveller, I am there, except for the usual standard questions, I have nothing to show or “report”.
