Flight compensation yes/no?

Good evening everyone,

Yesterday, I had a flight from Memmingen to Sarajevo that was diverted to Dubrovnik due to fog. However, the subsequent flight on the same plane from Sarajevo, Greece, went ahead as scheduled. I learned this from a conversation with a crew member. Now I'm not sure whether I'm entitled to compensation or not. Furthermore, two flights landed at the airport in Sarajevo on the same morning and at almost the same arrival time as scheduled. Why not mine?

A transfer bus to Sarajevo was organized in Dubrovnik. The journey took six hours, so I didn't arrive in Sarajevo until around 5 p.m. I wasn't offered any food during the entire trip, which I found absurd.

I would be very happy to receive helpful contributions.

If, for security reasons, a departure airport is flown, you will receive a further transfer, you will normally not be entitled to compensation. Especially since the flight was not redirected from boredom but due to weather conditions

This is at the discretion of the pilot as well as the need to land. Here, e.g. existing fuel plays a role as well as that not every type of aircraft can land at any airport.

Look, in your case, the force of violence, the airline has absolutely nothing to blame here.

What I wonder: Isn’t there always a tour guide – a local contact? You could have contacted someone immediately to prevent misconception.

… but still a contact person? After all, someone told you to get into this bus. Contact this one or the company.
