Flight attendant home airport?
Hello to all flight attendants 🙂
If you apply online to be a flight attendant, you only find locations in Munich and Frankfurt am Main. Since the nearest airport to me is Düsseldorf, and I don't want to move, my question is whether the training takes place only at the Frankfurt am Main and Munich locations, and then you can be assigned to an airport near your home, which in my case would be Düsseldorf, or whether all flight attendants are employed at their home airport, Frankfurt am Main, and therefore can only live one hour away from Frankfurt. Bei der Lufthansa ist deine Base entweder FRA oder MUC. Bei Eurowings z.B. wäre DUS auch eine Option. Der “Heimatflughafen” ist je nach Airline unterschiedlich.

Die Heimatflughäfen von Lufthansa sind Frankfurt und München. Deshalb starten alle Verbindungen, inklusive Zubringerflüge von dort. Wenn man in NRW wohnt könnte man aber auch schnell in Frankfurt sein oder evt. selbst als fliegendes Personal auf einem der Zubringerflüge von Düsseldorf oder Köln/Bonn mitgenommen werden.
