Flu shot?
Hello everyone, I mostly work at the checkout in a discount store. Now they've removed the last of our protection, the plexiglass walls. And almost the entire staff is sick again. The customers are so awful, coughing and sneezing on us, of course they're not wearing masks anymore, even though they have colds, licking their banknotes as usual, and then paying with them. DISGUSTING!!! But woe betide us if we say anything!…I'm a customer, I'm king." Do we employees have to wear masks again, or will a flu shot help? I bring EVERY cold home and always infect my husband. He's furious about it. What's the point? Thanks in advance for your answers.
First of all, I have to agree with you that it is partly disrespectful how people behave and how little they think about their counterparts when it comes to infections
A flu vaccination is unlikely to help at the moment because the influenza wave is over and will probably not come through until December/January, and other cold pathogens are currently circulating.
What might help you is a mask or, if you have had contact with banknotes, disinfecting your hands before touching anything else (e.g. your face, your mobile phone, etc.)
Ich würde konsequent eine Maske tragen und häufig die Hände desinfizieren.
Und darauf achten, nicht mit den Fingern an den Mund oder Augen kommen.
