Flight booked online, by when do you have to receive the e-ticket?

Hello everyone, I booked a flight online and only later read about the website's bad reviews. Now I'm wondering (since the flight is in a week) by when do I have to receive the e-ticket? So I know when to file an appeal and look for another flight in case this really was a dubious rip-off site and I never see a ticket. Please help.

Hello,

the problem is that many under an e-ticket otherwise imagine what it is often not. In principle, you only get a booking code, officially called Filekey. This code is 6-digit and alphanumeric, eg TG5KL7

With this code, you should be able to log in to the airline page and thus understand that your booking exists and then, according to the possibility, reserve seats, make online check-in…

What payment method was chosen? It depends on how easy you get your money back in doubt…

  • Sepa magazine? Can be easily revoked within 8 weeks
  • Credit card? Here you can put a dispute (in the end, as with the direct debit, only that you have to specify a reason here)
  • Transfer? In case of doubt, it is unfavorable because it cannot be revoked.

And for the next time, I'll give you the tip: look at the site where you book. Travelgenio sits in Spain, so in the case of a lawsuit you would have to sue this company before a Spanish court… as a rule, the effort should be higher than useful.

Best regards, Chris

Hello,

which airline is it? What data are queried during login (if necessary an e-mail – then this is probably a mail address from Travelgenio, not yours)? Do you correctly enter the filekey (for example the 0 / O error)? Did you call the airline and confirm the booking? Did you ask your bank / credit card company whether Travelgenio tried to charge the credit card and if so, why it was rejected?

These are all the questions that you should ask yourself before being bleak before blind stubbornness, submitting to the other scam and at the end has no flight and cost.

Best regards, Chris

Usually, the e-ticket arrives at a maximum of 24 hours after the booking confirmation. Often even immediately.

Only with the check-in you get the boarding cards.

You don't get an e-ticket, just the booking reference with the confirmation of the booking.

Depending on the airline, this booking reference Online check-in at the earliest 24 to 48 hours before departure on the airline website.

The e-ticket is ultimately only a so-called booking code.

Or do you mean the boarding cards that he is also called tickets in the countryside? Of course, you will only receive this after check-in. If you can do the online check-in one week before, you will receive the tickets at this time.

Did you get a booking confirmation?

Which page did you book?

In the booking confirmation there is usually a 6-digit code. That's all you need. Which flight line is the flight? You can usually log in with the code on the flight line website and see all the details on the ticket.

Oh, that should be OK. It's a normal online travel agency. Is it a complicated booking?

If you pay by credit card, you can leave the money back if you don't get anything.

Travelgenio is not error-free, but serious.

Book directly at the airline and finished. If Travelgenio was debited -> Chargeback.
