Flaps at start
Which flaps are extended during take-off of a wide-body aircraft and to what angle?

If so, why do you clap or why not clap after landing at the airport?
I booked a flight directly with Eurowings. It now says the flight is operated by airBaltic? Does that mean you won't be flying with Eurowings planes, but rather with airBaltic, as I've already learned?
Hello, Do you meet the pilots of the aircraft before takeoff or do you see them briefly? Or are they already in the cockpit beforehand?

I realize that this doesn't happen, but I'm just asking 🙂
The front flaps (slats/leading edge flaps) and the (trailing edge) flaps are extended in all large-scale aircraft. The exact number of folds varies depending on the type of aircraft. Most aircraft patterns have multiple flap positions for the start. Before each start, the cheapest starting position is calculated on the basis of the weather and the conditions of the airport/start train. I picked out some of Airbus’ values.

They are usually the slats at the front edge and the flaps at the rear edge. But just a few degrees! Not fully extended… This increases the critical angle of attack and the maximum possible buoyancy of the profiles with low resistance increase. Angle varies from pattern to pattern. Start is possible with different flap positions, depending on the conditions given grad 😉
Thank you. Do you also know when they’re going back?
Since each airline has different procedures for the different aircraft patterns. Also depends on whether noise protection methods are used or not.
But in principle, the flaps are retracted when the necessary speed has been reached. Exiting of the flaps reduces the minimum flight speed…..it is logically up;)
the lands are not
Yes, they’re not being fully extended.
