Hello. I'm starting work at Deutsche Post on October 16th. I received a paycheck today that calculates half a month as 16 days. I don't understand this, since I haven't worked this month yet. Normally, I wouldn't get my first paycheck until November 15th. Or am I mistaken? Does anyone have experience?

No, they always pay for the middle of the month. It would make sense if I started on the 1.10, but I didn’t.
You get a monthly salary. However, the mail does not pay on the 1st for the last month, but on the 15th for the current month.
Means…from the 15th to the end of the month, the mail pays in advance.That’s why you’ve already got a wage.
