First flight – how does it all work?

Hello!

I'm flying to Italy with my class soon. However, I've never flown before, so I'm quite nervous.

How does everything work at the airport? When and where do I have to go? My teacher should have the flight tickets. But how does it all work with the check-in, the controls and so on? I'm flying within the EU, but are the controls less strict? For example, as is often seen in films, do I have to go through an arc that recognizes everything magnetic or was that everything "metallic"? Do I have to take off my jeans because of the button?

Do the workers at the airports actually speak basic English? Because I don't speak Italian and my English isn't very good either.

Please enlighten me! 🙂

Thanks for all the answers!

So I guess you’ll all meet at the airport and check in together. At some airports there are also group checkin switches, etc. But just go with the others. At check-in you can also give up your luggage and say what you want for a seat, etc. (usually 20kg are allowed). The baggage that you do not give up is your hand luggage. However, this may only be a piece of luggage and contain no tips or sharpened items. There are also strong restrictions with liquids. Only small quantities can be taken in transparent bags. So it’s best to pack everything (i.e. also the culture bag) in the big bag and have only the most necessary in the backpack what you need on the go.

Then we’ll go to the flight. On the way there, there is at least one security check, possibly a passport control (if you are not flying to the EU outside). In security control, your hand baggage will be encoded and watched if nothing is in it, which is forbidden. If they can’t see what it is on the X-ray picture, you might have to open the bag and look at it directly. You yourself will go through a meteall detector and if the alarm gives you will also be scanned by hand. My tip to make this quicker. All you wear on the body before you put in the backpack (armband clock, belt, cell phone, portemonaie, jewelry…) and redirect to control. If you take a laptop, unpack it at the embossed and recharged and leave it to your own.
It may be that the security check will give you special instructions, such as taking off shoes, etc. Then just do it. It’s nothing wild.

After the security check, you’re in the plane. You can stop until the boarding begins. When the boarding comes, you’re on board. Either you get from your flight platform dirket to the plane or you’re going to a field position by bus, then we’re going over a staircase to the plane. In the plane everyone goes to his seat and stowed his luggage either in the shelves above the seat or under the front seat. Only those who sit at an emergency exit must stow everything up. Then take your seats, turn off all electronic devices (especially mobile phones) and strap on. But that’s what’s going to happen in time before the start, and the crew goes through the rows again and see if everything fits.

Then you also hear internal passages like “Boarding completed” or the instruction “all doors in flight”. But you don’t have to be interested in that. There is an introduction to some safety regulations, so how to strap on what happens in a pressure drop, if necessary how the life jackets work, etc. just listen to everything and then relax. The machine then rolls to the starway and starts and you just fly normally. Evtl. there is a board service etc. And then you end up at some point.

After landing, you will get up as you entered the start airport and then go to the baggage issue. These are usually conveyor belts on which the baggage arrives and then circles until it is picked up. If you have left the EU, you will also pass the passport control and customs. Just have nothing to do with what is not allowed, then it’s not a problem.

if you do not have to put anything out of metric and so a plastic container, and then you have to go through such a magnetic door so this arc ^^^ and then there is still such a type that then with such a grudge you have to talk about your body

I’ll take you off with Alitalia. Then you just go such a good hour (or more) before departure to a check-in switch of the Alitalia. There you will get your boarding pass and the baggage will be weighed and checked on the corresponding flight. The next step is the body check and hand luggage control. But don’t worry: because of a metal button, you don’t have to put a strip. But it may be that you have to put the jacket to the hand luggage, which then also runs through the X-ray system. The body check runs manually through metal detectors. Make sure that no sharp objects and liquids are carried in the hand luggage, because they are probably drawn in. Yes, and English is enough. At Flüghäfen you can speak English…. and now: Good flight and nice stay in Italy. 😉

So English and of course also the respective national language. You may also find German-speaking staff at the ital airport.

Oh, yeah, and something else. If you are early at the check-in desk, you will of course be asked where you would like to sit. I suppose you want a window… Oh, I’d like to fly sooo. heul

Don’t worry. Your teacher will do everything. When you check in, your suitcases are weighed, they get a band around them, and they’ll be taken away because they’re loaded into the airplane. After that, you still have your hand luggage by being in everything you need for the flight. First of all, your ID should be there. Then you and your hand baggage are controlled: liquids (bottle water, etc.) can melt into such large tons beforehand. They’re not allowed. Then you put everything metallic, like small money, cell phone, belt, etc in a basket placed on a tape. Your hand baggage also comes up there. Both are roasted while you are guided through this metal scanner. The cute people still push you down, or try to pick metal on your body with a nem handheld scanner. But you didn’t have to move out. after that it usually means waiting, waiting… not smoking… just waiting. At some point, your plane is ready and you can get in. Maybe a bus will take you from the waiting hall to the plane. Have fun and good trip!

So I flew the first time with 3 years and then always 2-4 times a year and I have to say it’s my favorite stockpile. I just love the athmosphere in the airport when I get in, like a great feeling. so you will come in to the airport. Go to the point of the airline you’re flying with. show your tickets and take your luggage. so your case ect. depending on the airline you can take 1 piece of hand luggage that weighs about 5 kg. then you go through the security. you give everything you have on you (hand luggage, jewellery, wallets, jacket and so) into a small container, which is then illuminated again. after weapons and so. You go either thirsty a cabinet, the metal parts piept, or you are checked off by a personal with a metal detector, so to speak.
then you’re in. before you get to the various bridges to the flugzeuds, another pass control is. then you go to the right gate. then you wait until you leave. 10 before. then your aircraft is called and your ticket is controlled. in the plane you go to your place. then the aircraft parks out and if it were rolling to the runway, the safety precautions are announced. then you start. a great feeling.
the flight itself will not take long, that means you don’t get a warm meal. but you can buy things in a plane. eating, drinking, eating hot, etc. is just fucking expensive. land also makes fun. when you get mixed again in the terminal you go to the baggage issue and get your witness back and then off to the exit.
made.
I’m getting used to flying a lot of fun and I’m doing a training to pilot.
I hope you got a little look

you go to the switch put your baggage there and then go with the hand luggage for security control. There you have to go through such a thing (as in the movies). If there’s something piept you’ll get out and scan yourself with such a neat kind of magnifying part and then you’ll wait on your flight. If you can go into the plane, the flight will be called and you can enter your ticket. To your further questions:
No, you don’t have to take your pants off.
No, mostly so long the airport in Germany is also speaking German.
If you are in Italy, they also speak English.

Everything – really everything – comes from yourself when you’re at the airport.

In doubt, you always do what the others do at the relevant switch or you go directly to the info switch and ask all your questions.

They know “Zum-Ersten-Mal-Flieger”.

Everything will work without any problems.

The machine won’t fly without you.

Of course, the plane will fly without one if you don’t get too late;-)

yes you have to go through such an arc but is not bad any more.

normally you arrive at the airport looking for the switch to which you have to give villages your case will get your place assigned then you can check the safety check with the beautiful arc (generally you don’t have to take off ^^ to the not look again a nice person personally) and then you can run straight gate to which the aircraft starts.

that you flee within the eu has no effect on safety control only on customs

I suppose everything went well, but didn’t fly with ChikenAir? because there are only cold chickens.
