The women’s world is very good. It makes a difference whether it’s just a private pilot license (PPL) or whether you do it professionally (ATPL) and fly the big jets. The latter is of course much higher in the course of the women;-)

I wanted to ask why you ask the question or whether you intend to purchase the PPL yourself. You seem to be interested. You can start the PPL at 16, but the license will be issued only for your 17th birthday. Cost point for the PPL so about 10,000€. In the club you can do it for less. However, it also lasts longer, as flight instruction is usually limited to the WE and the beautiful season. If you were interested in the subject, I would recommend that you clarify your medical suitability by a pilot physician (AME = Aero Medical Examiner). However, as far as the cost of a separate aircraft is concerned, they are much higher. For most not affordable. For example, a new Cessna 172SP (is a common school engine and private aircraft) is about 270,000€. For a jet we are very fast in the millions;-)

I’ve been a pilot for over 40 years and find it interesting only when someone flies a particularly unusual pattern like a Warbird or an Oldtimer.

Actually, a rather boring routine job.

It wouldn’t be for me.
