colored hairs are cool, strong make-up I don’t like, and the clothes aren’t so mine… so much less
I am biased as I come from a related but still other scene (Metal), but I find Gothic style rather attractive – especially the clothing as long as in some areas is not too much overdrafted with makeup, body jewelry and hairstyle.
So alone, that black is predominant in style, makes him attractive to me as I think black is the best “color” haha.
Goths also have the most fashionable outfits of all subcultures, as my survey suggests here.
