First of all, it's pretty inconvenient, since you could have simply unplugged the cable from the router, for example. Secondly, the W stands for wireless, and it's called a LAN cable because there are no wireless cables. LAN stands for Local Area Network.
But I also think you shouldn't intentionally damage things and then lie about it. If that's already happened, I recommend being honest and saying that you cut it. I don't know how else you could communicate it most effectively.

nee, das kann nicht das erste gewesen sein. Hier wurde schon oft von WLAN-Kabel berichtet. Durchgeschnitten, das ist ungewöhnlich. Vielleicht ist es auch nur ein kleiner Schreibfehler und er hat WLAN-Kanal gemeint. Er könnte ja mal ein Luftbildaufnahme machen.

Einfach Verantwortung übernehmen. Man hat was schlechtes gemacht, dann steht man dafür gerade. Die Beste Lösung für alle wäre, einen Ersatz zu schaffen.
Außerdem heißt es LAN Kabel, WLAN ist Wireless
