Final thesis: self-created tables in the list of figures?

My “contact person” for work didn’t answer this question… (🤷🏼‍♀️)

I created a table based on two different sources (there's no separate table of contents in the template). Do I not need to include this in the reference list at all, or…?

Hello,

even if I’m not sure if I understand the question correctly, I would do it that way:

The table comes into the picture directory and of course you need to specify the two sources you used to create the table. I would write in a footnote something like: “The table was based on the data Source 1 and Source 2 and then write the two sources into the source directory.

As a rule, self-created tables are not listed in the table of illustrations because they are not illustrations in the actual sense. Instead, they are often used directly in the text and can indicate the data or sources used by a source or footnote. If there are no specific requirements in the work, it is advisable to use the tables in the text and to identify where the data originates. For example, transparency and traceability are guaranteed without having to list the tables separately in the table.
