Hard drives are not recognized?
I have a problem. My two external hard drives aren't recognized. One is a Toshiba and the other a WD Elements. The drivers are installed, but they aren't recognized. They're also not displayed in Disk Management.

Hi, I wanted to buy a PC after Christmas. My parents say everything gets cheaper after Christmas. Is that true?
Hello everyone, I'll try my luck here, as I haven't found much information on the following topic so far Two days ago, I received new servers (2x Fujitsu Primergy RX2530 M6). I created a RAID 5 on both systems about 32 hours ago, and both still show 0% during background initialization in the BIOS. Does…
Hello, the Windows Defrag program is only supposed to work in idle or inactive mode, but since my PC is rarely inactive, it can't really defragment. That's why I use Ccleaner Defraggler and Smart Defrag. Since the Windows one doesn't do anything when I use it, is there any way to change it so that…
My SSD actually has a lot of free space, but so much of it is occupied, and I don't know why or what it's being used for. So, is there any way I can clear the occupied space or something?
Hello, I wanted to buy my son an external SSD hard drive, and I'm wondering which USB port it has. An external drive like that is supposed to be really fast only with USB 3.1 or higher. I can't figure out exactly which one he has in the device manager. Thank you for your help
Hello, if I want to create a GUI, for example a camp that only a certain team can access, for example team blue, what exactly do I have to do? Where does the script go and what does it have to contain? How do I check whether the player is on the right team.
Hello,
you have to plug it into a blue USB 3.1.
Otherwise, you need an additional power supply for external hard drives.

Otherwise open disk management and see if the disks are detected.
That’s it.
Right-click the Windows icon at the bottom left.
Then a selection window starts.
Here you can then click “Data carrier management”.
Here you can see all disks that Windows recognizes.
Just have to be careful not to change the Windows hard drive.
Hansi
that is ne 2.5″ HDD that have no external power supply
That’s it.
I’ll give you an example.
Hansi
2.5″ hard drives only need the 5V from the USB port. Only the large 3.5″ need additional 12V.
and it doesn’t matter whether USB 2.0 or 3.1.. it is always 5V and the maximum power of USB 2.0 is enough for an external hard drive
That’s it.
but if it were, he wouldn’t ask.
Well, maybe there’s enough formatting.
Hansi
almost every 2.5″ HDD also comes clear with USB 2.0, in the least cases the power is not sufficient
Check both and see if they are displayed in Crystal DiskInfo… If so, please post screenshots of the displayed SMART values.
To help you, we need some additional information, for example, we start with …
Are the hard drives failing at the same time?
Did anything happen to the hard drives or your computer?
Do the hard drives not make any noise in the attempts to access?
Are the hard drives still detected on another computer?
Hi!
I’d first test the two HDDs on another computer. It is strange that two different hard drives suddenly give up the mind. For example, it is MacOS formatted (e.g. HFS+) disks that are now connected to Windows? -> here you should be displayed at least in the disk management (in the computer administration).
If the hard drives are still not recognized at all at the other computer, only a professional rescue comes into question as here:

I sit in Germany (Ingolstadt) and have a fair fixed price even in hardship cases where the read/write heads need to be exchanged.

Are there any data on it? If yes then secure and load on a USB stick.
If not, simply select and format the device manager. LG
