Hard drive can't be formatted. What else can I do?

Hello,

I removed a hard drive (TOSHIBA DT01ACA100) from a video surveillance recorder because it wasn't recognized by the system. I then connected the drive to my PC as a second drive and tried to format it. It was recognized in Explorer, but I couldn't format it:

In Disk Manager I can see them and their size.

When I try to delete the volume, I get an error message:

CHKDKS can't help me either:

I have already tried to format the hard drive with DISKPART :

Something's wrong with the disk. Unfortunately, CristalDiskInfo doesn't recognize it and can't read the SMART data.

The event viewer gives me the following messages:

Is the case hopeless or does anyone know of any other ways to save the hard drive?

Delete partition and then reinstall and format

But it can be good that the manufacturer is so prepared that it only runs in the recorder and nowhere else

then I would hang the part externally and try to get it back with live Linux

OR under Win try AOMEI Partition Assistant or MiniTool Partition Wizard or Easeus Partition Master.
Trying in renounced order

Well, did you delete this with the partition, re-install it and then format it now or not?

I didn’t feel attacked

I was just thinking, “one of those who read only half of the answer again and what could lead to a fix will be ignored”

If Crystal DiskInfo does not recognize the plate, the plate is a case for electric scrap. If the data is important to you and is worth a few hundred euros, we or another data recovery laboratory may do something else.

I mean by diskpart:

  • select disk 1
  • convert gpt
  • clean

The hard drive will be gone or encrypted by the operator.
