Fixed braces problems?

So I got braces today and now I have a few problems:

  1. In my case, each wire goes in a different direction because my teeth are quite misaligned, so the wire was logically positioned that way. It still looks awful, so how long will it take until something changes visually? I know every jaw, and therefore growth, is different, but roughly?

2. When I bite down, only my left molars touch. The rest of my upper jaw has a huge gap between it and my lower jaw, making chewing virtually impossible. Will this go away after a few days? Is this normal?

3.I'm in a lot of pain, and of course I know that this is normal and will pass, but what can I do about it?

To make matters worse, I've now caught a cold and have pretty severe mood swings, which are now also interfering with my mood…well, I can't change it…

Please feel free to write me your experiences with brackets or braces in general etc.

🙂

With me every wire goes in a different direction, since my teeth have a rather strong misalignment, so logically the wire has been set. It still looks very scary, how long does it take until something changes visually? I know every pine and so also the growth is individual but so about?

Nobody can tell you that. But until it’s a little less creepy, I’d appreciate 3-4 months.

When I bite together only touch my left jaw teeth, the rest of my upper jaw has a huge gap between the lower jaw, which makes me chewing as good as impossible. Is that after a few days, is that normal?

The gap remains as long as you have the chip. That’s it. The fact that the left jaw teeth touch me is a bit strange, with me it was said that there must be an equally large gap everywhere. The food gets better, you get used to it quite quickly.

I have a lot of pain, of course, that’s normal, and that’s what you can do about it.

Take painkillers (Ibu, Novalgin, etc.), suck ice cubes or water ice cream, eat cold yogurt, applemus from the refrigerator, etc.

Of course I’m not a pine orthopaedic. If there’s something weird to you or nothing better, you should definitely go back to this one.

I had a firm chip myself for 3 years and was “one of the most complicated cases” (cite) that my orthodontist had so far. In case of questions / tips, I am happy to be available! 🙂

You can also eat milk ice cream, I always ate water ice cream because I don’t like any other ice cream. Should the orthodontic orthodontics of course not have forbidden to eat milk food!! Main thing cold.
At that time you were not allowed to do this because probably seams and wounds were in the mouth, they could ignite through the lactic acid bacteria! Since you probably don’t have cuts in your mouth, you can eat normally.

Hi, that your other upper jaw still touches the lower one is not normal I would best go to the dentist again, I have a brace myself and know that at the beginning it hurts awfully, but that gives itself after 3 – 5 days, and the change can still not be said exactly at most it takes about 2 years, but you usually notice a slight change after 3 months. Hope I could help you and still much health😄

And with the gaps it depends on when you have a strong misplacement is normal, but with time it will be better!!
