I have a problem: When I connect my receiver to the TV with a good HDMI cable to connect my 5.1 system, the TV mutes. That is, the "mute" symbol also pops up as soon as I establish the HDMI connection. What's the reason for this?
When I connect both via an optical cable, there are no problems of this kind (but 5.1 cannot be played, which is why I had to switch to HDMI).

My Fire TV Stick won't activate with the Samsung remote (Home button). The screen remains black. I have to first open the Samsung TV+ app and then the Fire TV app, and it works. Who knows this crap?

This has nothing to do with the cable. Probably you plugged the cable into the bilateral HDMI slot and the TV settings are set accordingly so that the sound will then automatically adjust.
And how do I get the sound through the HDMI connection?
At the 5.1 installation, you have to put the cable either in an input slot or in a bilateral slot. I believe that the bilateral slots are slipping.
