Holiday jobs for teenagers?

I'd like to do a summer job to earn money and gain life experience, but I'm not sure what exactly I can do as a teenager. I'll be 15 by the time the summer holidays roll around, so I guess age will play a role.

I'm also pretty good with children, so babysitting etc. would be possible, but I don't know how that works, like whether there are any agencies or something like that where you can "book" someone, or whether it's mostly a neighborhood thing (I only know it from films, babysitting isn't that big a thing in my circle anymore).

What kind of jobs can you do as a 15-year-old and does it last the whole 6 weeks, or does it vary from job to job?
