I like Part 1 best because one gets to face most of the diversity in the Middle Earth β the Shire, two Elvish groups, Moria, Isengard, and a few views to Mordor or Minis Tirith. There is a real feeling of immersion in a complex world with great history.
I must admit that part 3 has some of the best scenes, but unfortunately also some of the weakest, not least because of the sometimes insane CGI orgies. In the course of time, Mr Jackson became more and more a fan of giga-pixel mass slaughters, and in hobbit trilogy he was finally beyond good and evil.
Of course, the whole lotR trilogy is still very good, but the slanted tendencies of PJ were already foreseeable.
The first part of the companions I find best from the film trilogy at a distance.
You will learn a lot about the Middle Earth, its peoples and vast expanses, what is happening in the war and mission of Frodos. There are many emotional and breathtaking moments that make the film strong and impressive. The soundtrack also convinces.
The other films then lose too much in the battles and go endlessly. However, the whole extent is even better than in the book. Also convinced that the action is described alternately and not in succession.
The third part is then a certain increase compared to the middle, but it simply does not reach the first.
The Hobbit is very nice, but much weaker than The Lord of the Rings.
Personally, I prefer to see the first part of the trilogy β while the other two are also fantastic, but in particular the third leaves me emotionally always a bit broken back. ^^
At the Hobbit series, I liked the first part by far.

I can also fully understand, he has many strong scenes! I'm just so sad at the end of the scene with the horrors!
Yes, that's always a shame when they have to say goodbye
It is so idyllic and yet exciting.
But I personally find the companions better.
