Wrong post?
Hello
What can you do if you get the wrong mail and it's thrown in my mailbox from an collection agency and the person is supposed to send money even though the mail isn't from me and is thrown in my mailbox but the last name is the same. What can you do?
A so-called defector (post that is obviously not intended for you, e.g. only similar road as your other house number or the like) you must not actually open, but should throw it into the next mailbox.
Now that you’ve already opened it and noticed the error, of course, it would seem like you could bend the whole thing again:
Thanks for the info that was the same address with house number and same family name but the first name different.
Do you live in your house another rental party with the same name? If no, the postman has done nothing wrong, he can’t know who’s living in your apartment.
Then I would stick the letter again, pass the recipient, write “back to sender – recipient unknown” on it and throw it back into the next yellow letter box. The recipient actually intended does not live with you and – if I understood that correctly – you don’t know him either.
