Fake Airpods ads?

Hey guys, my friend gave me a pair of second-generation AirPods for my birthday and then realized they were fake. I'm sure of this because the serial number is invalid, the internal parts are different from the originals, and it has a few malfunctions. My friend bought it on eBay, which stated it was original and new (unopened). It cost €40, which is a strange price. Can anyone tell me if it's fake and should I file a complaint? Thanks for the reply. 🫶🏻

what is kind of odd price

And this is only noticeable after the purchase?

Funny pumpkin, your buddy 😉

You need proof that they were sold as original Apple products.

Can be invoiced, for example.

I don’t think there’ll be any ad there.

However, if the headphones were explicitly specified as original, you could turn on the eBay purchaser protection as it would be fraud.

Can anyone tell me if it’s Fake…

No, not with this information.

…and should he report?

He can do it.

Why does he not open a buyer protection case because of an article deviating from the description?
