Extreme headache for 3 days, what could it be?
Hello ,
I've had a cold since Tuesday, but all of the cold symptoms are now largely gone. However, from Thursday until today (Saturday) I've had a terrible headache, so bad that I've had to throw up a few times because of the pain. I've already been to the doctor, but he couldn't really tell me what it was.
The pain is almost unbearable and it just doesn't get better.
I'm really starting to despair. Unfortunately, ibuprofen isn't really helping either.
When I cough, my head feels like it's about to explode.
Has anyone ever had something similar? Kind regards.
As I understand your shielding, your headache is Other (so in the way for you still unknown) and strongest Headache. Both are a “red flag” and therefore a reason to let it be medically explained.
The most likely is a migraine based on your description. However, there are a wide variety of reasons for such headaches, some of which can also be serious. Therefore, in your case (because the family doctor apparently couldn’t help you and did not initiate any further diagnostics) an idea in a – best neurological emergency ambulance would be correct and important.
Since there are over 200 types of headaches, it will surely be hard to meet the user here who has exactly your kind of headache.
Go to the doctor again – you can’t say more.
