Expand laptop memory/RAM?

It is a Lenovo idea leptop with Windows 11 and 8gb RAM built in and a slot for expansion. I wanted to ask if I should get dual with 2x8gb or 16 and 8gb ram.

Check the laptop. It is often stated how much memory can be installed at most.
But so spontaneously I advise you to use an identical 8 GB bolt

Depends on the MHz and the timing of the RAM. Read this with hw monitor. Then you can make another matching 8gb bar in.
