Hello, My grandma loves watching TV series. She's retired now, so she has a lot of time. Currently, she can only watch series on regular TV, as she doesn't have an internet connection and probably never will. Therefore, she can't watch Netflix or anything like that. However, I think she would really enjoy the series…
Hello, Is anyone here who has watched Call Me by Your Name and knows more about a sequel? I've looked online several times and I can't find anything that gives a definite yes or no. I know that the book already has a sequel, 'Find Me,' and I'm reading that too. However, this story touched…
I loveeeeeeee them. What do you think of them and their music?
What movie on Netflix or Prime can you recommend for a movie night tonight? Genre doesn't matter, as long as it's not science fiction
Interstellar
Kill Bill 1 and 2
Django Unchained
Aliens
Terminator 2
Indiana Jones 1-3
Star Wars 3-9
Vengence Trilogy: Oldboy,Lady Vengence, Sympathy for Mr.Vengence
Two Glorich Halunken
12 Monkeys
Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Why exactly Star Wars 3-9? I’d rather say 1-6. Because these are real master works, which I think can’t be fully asserted by the 7-9.
1 and 2 are children’s films I am 43 have another opinion on Star Wars as well as is the matter of taste! The new trilogy is not perfect but better than their reputation no one finds in my age class episode 1 and 2 good and episode 3 is good but no masterpiece only episode 4 and 5 are masterpieces episode 6 is also very good but no masterpiece!
Yes, the 1 is a children’s film, I agree that at 2 I would protest, but still find it much better than 7-9. But, as you said, a matter of taste
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Gladiator, The Condemned, Forrest Gump, Troja, Catch me if you can, Cast Away, Blood Diamond, Pretty Best Friends, Nothing New in the West.
My Personal Top 10 from the over 400 films I have watched so far:
10 films I would recommend to everyone (independent of my Top 10)
If it’s a series of films, just the series.
1. Avatar. A strange world credible like a natural film. So available, Directors Cut!!! Defines SciFi.
Two. Lord of the Rings incl. Hobbit in Directors Cut. This will be for Fantasy in 1000 years what is due Nibelungensaga for heroes.
3. Dune. Faithful, world, frightening characters, vision of the future from hell.
4. Saving Private Ryan. Defines the anti-war film.
Five. Schindler’s list. What is to be shown in our past. Never forget.
6. Play me the song of death. With so little, so much tension.
7. Terminator (especially no. 2), still defines the action film.
8. Alien (1 the horror movie, 2 the, action film)
9. Lion, a long way home. (Real history)
10. Don Camillo and Peppone. Masterpieces in S/W. Beautiful fine humor, and nsn learns a lot about Italy.
11. Also drawing trick / anime princess mononoke
Runner ups, The Bridge, the Downfall, the Boat (see Schindler’s list), Platoon and the documentary “Schildkröten can fly” (antiwar), The With Dem Wolf dances and A man they called horse, Django Unchained and the old Django (Western). Of course, there are classics, spaceballs, hot shots, naked cannon, div. Monty Pythons, Bud Spencer or ancient Dick and Doof, or all about Curse of the Caribbean… At Sci Fi nan Star Wars should already mention, or the Marsian or Odyssey in space, or Star Trek. You don’t get around Harry Potter at Fantasy. And at cartoon about 30 to 50 Disney / Pixar movies, and all about Ice Age, dragon tame, etc… With sad films there would be a Titanic, or Perfect, Storm… Whoever loves weather loves both Twister movies. Thriller like silence of the lambs…
