Eating disorder?

Hello, I (f/14) think I have an eating disorder, but I'm not sure. I've been counting my calories for about 6 months and have lost 26 pounds. My BMI is now 19.5 (169 cm, 56 kg), which is still normal. My birthday is next week (I'm 15) and I'm really scared of eating cake because it has so many calories. I usually try to eat less than 800 calories a day, but if it's more or I've eaten too much, I sometimes throw it up. I haven't been eating fast food, chips, sweets, etc. for a while now. I can't eat high-calorie foods without feeling guilty. My parents are very insensitive about it, which is why I don't want to tell them anything. I don't know what I have or if it's really that bad, but it's kind of getting to me. Thanks in advance for your answers!

Even though you have normal weight at present, some of your statements are very irritating.

You seem too little to eat (800 kcal you write). If you have exceeded a certain calorie intake, you willingly care for yourself. You're afraid of the cake coming to the table next week. Some foods give you a bad conscience.

I also suspect you have an eating disorder or develop it.

Quickly! Your pediatrician would be a first contact person. Your parents' support would be important, maybe you can get them to the boat? Your doctor may also make an appointment with you.

Yes, that's definitely an eating disorder. You should find help with a psychologist or doctor.

It is of course important to eat healthy, but it does not exclude that you eat candy or a cake. 800 kcal per day (if this is true) is clearly too little.

Sounds like it; talk to a doctor.

With 800 calories you don't even cover the need that is necessary to the basic organ functions like brains and hearts to keep running healthy. If you continue to do so, the a) is organ-damaging and b) shortening life.
