Hello you,

Please do not use such diffusers with essential oils!

HIGHLY TOXIC!

These oils settle throughout the home AND on the cat's fur. In addition to being inhaled directly, the cat also grooms them from its fur and paws.

If you want to make a cat sick, you can use diffusers with essential oils, scented candles, scented sticks, or room sprays. Some cats develop lick alopecia, allergic asthma, pancreatitis, or even drop dead. It's all happened before.

Furthermore, such intense smells are absolute torture for cats. Cats have approximately 200 million olfactory cells/nerves, compared to 5-6 million in humans. So, what smells intense to you already stinks to high heaven for cats.

Cats also don’t like smells like orange and lemon.

Please give this essential oil and the diffuser as a gift, and possibly all the other items mentioned above.

All the best to your cat.

best regards 🙋‍♀️ +😺 +😺

Good Monday,

I wouldn't recommend those scents or anything like that if you don't want to harm your cat.

Room fragrances and essential oils can be soothing and relaxing for humans, but they are not good for cats, especially since cats largely perceive their environment through their very sensitive and fine sense of smell.

Thanks for your link, but there is still a huge difference between can, could and probably!

If you want to offer your house cat the best possible environment, you should move out of your home and only feed it natural food. Who knows what other dangers lurk in the household? A defuser will probably be the least of your problems!

I don't have any cats 🙂 And it would be new to me that people use essential oils to clean their homes.

Womit reinigst du eigentlich deinen Katzenhaushalt, mit Luft und liebe?

Nicht wirklich, nein.

„There are several reported cases of direct exposure to certain oils causing harm or even death.“

„Dogs are also susceptible to certain essential oil toxicities, but cats are much more so. Cats’ livers are deficient in a process called “gluconuridation”, an important step in the metabolism of many compounds. As such, chemicals that are metabolized by other species often accumulate or are broken down into toxic metabolites in cats. This is especially true for compounds called “phenols” which contain an “aromatic” or “benzene” ring. Many essential oils contain phenols, and, as such, may be poisonous to cats. These may lead to liver failure, seizures, or other serious issues.“

Allein das sollte schon ausreichen um keine Ätherischen Öle in der Nähe seines Tieres zu nutzen.
