First Cavallo riding boots?

Hello everyone!

I'm currently considering getting Cavallo Boots as my first proper riding boots. Can you recommend this brand in terms of quality/price?

Since I'm not quite sure which model is right for me, here are a few facts:

  • I ride more dressage and occasionally pole work, but jumping less often
  • The boots should be dark blue to match my riding helmet, so only lace-up boots in dark blue are suitable for me (preferably with a little glitter, but patent leather is not necessary)
  • The boots don't have to be easy to care for, but they should last a long time if I care for them after every ride
  • they should cost between 200 and 300 euros

So if you have any tips for purchasing (How do I measure my size? Where can I try on or see the shoes? Where can I get Cavallo boots for less than usual?, etc.), please let me know. I'm a complete beginner when it comes to boots, and at such a high price, I want to get everything right, both in terms of quality and size.

Thank you for your tips!

Luisa

They don’t inspire me like that. I don’t know a Cavallo boot anyone’s got for a long time. Actually, you have good leather boots for a lifetime, charred and that’s it. But if I compare the wear of a 5 year old Cavallo with my 30 year old king (of course with very similar use), there is a difference as day and night.

However, it is also important to note that each manufacturer, like other shoes, also serves another ledge and the boots must fit. Therefore, try with boots, who prepares for you and then meet the choice.

Since you have a good boot in an ideal case for life, take one from shape and color neutral, even if you can order almost any variation.

Don’t miss yourself, but let the dealer measure. If only a small thing is not, you have to pay the correction on your own measurement, the dealer misses or understands the trade fair instructions incorrectly, the correction takes place at his expense. I’ve been feeding a pair of lambskin. Dealer measured by 1 cm incorrectly, back to the manufacturer. Boot value 300 Euro, correction 200 Euro to dealer costs.

You don’t have to clean a good boot so often. How to store it is much more important. Otherwise wipe with damp cloth dirt and treat once a year with care suitable for tanning the leather. Ready. You can also use leather.

Cavallo rides are available at Loesdau. Basically, I wouldn’t be so stiffening on this brand, but as far as possible looking for a specialist business with advice and then buying what meets your requirements and really fits well.

And I also have to say – depending on the age, I wouldn’t spend 300€ for riding, from which you grew out 1/2 J. later.
