Refund of a Super Sparpreis Europa ticket if it was purchased on Bahn International?
Hello, my daughter bought a train ticket from France to Germany for herself and a friend using the ICE Super Saver Europe fare, but unfortunately for the wrong date. She noticed it right away, but the 12-hour instant cancellation policy isn't available for bookings made through bahn-international.de . It wouldn't have been a problem with bahn.de.
Telephone inquiries were rebuffed. Three emails, as well as requests for leniency, have so far gone unanswered. Unfortunately, she now has to pay for both tickets, which is a lot of money for a student, especially since she had to rebook tickets for the correct date.
I also find it a bit incomprehensible, since she started the booking on bahn.de and was then redirected. I don't understand why the cancellation policy is so different.
I'd like to help her. Is there anything else we can do? Does anyone have experience with cases like this? If we can't return the ticket, is there anything else we can do? It seems like we can't sell it. Is there anything we can do to get a refund if we don't actually take the trip? Or contact someone else?
Thanks!
Hello,
I like to see you personally. There are still some tricks about passenger rights, so you might get some money back. It happened to me once, I got a booked ticket back.
Best regards
