Experiences weather Koh Samui, Ko Phangan in May?
Hello! We'd like to take a two-week trip to Thailand in May, starting in Bangkok and continuing on to Koh Samui, Ko Phangan, etc. Since that's already the transition period, I'd like to hear from someone who was there during that time what it's actually like (daytime temperatures, duration of rain when it rains, is the water suitable for water activities?).
Of course, I realize that you can never give a general answer; I'm simply interested in personal experiences.
Thank you in advance!
What help you with all sorts of random experiences? Just because of some 3. In May, the sun has swung or was a storm, it says nothing more than what weather in general on 3. May is expected.
On the islands mentioned in the southern Gulf, however, there is no transitional period in May. There the rainy season begins a lot later in September or October.
Here is a climate diagram for the statistical precipitation quantities on Samui. That would be a much better planning aid than any random observations: https://www.wetteronline.de/klima-niederschlag/ko-samui?iid=48550
