Experience with laser eye surgery?

I'm having laser eye surgery next week with Femto-LASIK. I know that the eye will be held in place with a clamp, but my eyes are very dry and I'm worried that it'll burn too much or that I'll want to force my eye shut. How exactly does this work? Do they keep putting drops in, or is the eye so numb that you don't feel anything? The ophthalmologist said it's not a problem and I won't feel anything there, but I'd like to get the opinion of someone who's already had it done.
