Epson XP 312 print head flex cable won't go in?

Have a good meal,

I changed the print head on my Epson XP 312 and accidentally pulled off the flex cable that is attached to the back of the carriage.

I can't get it in now. I don't want to tear the sled down either; I want it to be able to drive again later.

There is the white socket. The flex cable has to go there.

Hi.

On the white plug you can see a small slit on the right. Place the cable there, take it relatively short between thumb and index finger, so that it does not bend away and then gently press it.

The gap between the carriage and the metal plate on the left in the picture is hardly 1.5cm. But thanks for your help

Then you can build a small auxiliary construction, eg from wood. A kind of clamp.
