English exam British Empire?

Hi everyone:) In my English exam, I have to write an essay, this time on something related to the British Empire. Our teacher said we need to have some prior knowledge. However, I absolutely can't imagine what kind of essay question could come up that only requires some prior knowledge. Does anyone have any idea what direction this might take? I have absolutely no idea how to prepare well and what to expect.

I could imagine that a question about colonialism would come up, because that is something that can be discussed quite well – on a moral, ethical, and economic level.

I'm not sure exactly what they're referring to. However, for a general summary of the history of the British Empire, I would recommend the two videos from the YouTube channel "History Matters."
